Range Rover Evoque Revealed

Land Rover kept their new two door concept model under wraps for almost a year. Now the wait is finally over. The all new Range Rover Evoque has been released to the world, after a lavish party at the auto maker's HQ in London.

2011's Range Rover Evoque looks almost identical to the LRX concept, a crossover featuring sporty styling, distinctive headlights, and a sloping roofline. According to the auto maker it is slated to become "the smallest, lightest and most fuel efficient Range Rover ever produced."

Land Rover has yet to release specifications, engine options, etc. - concerning the all new Evoque. But if it follows in LRX's footsteps, the car will likely include a 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel, a 3.2-liter petrol inline six, and possibly a hybrid 2.0-liter turbodiesel.

Two-wheel drive will be standard, all-wheel drive will be optional, as it is on most smaller Land Rover models.

According to Phil Popham, Land Rover managing director, "The all-new Range Rover Evoque, is an important step for the future continued success and growth of the brand. Customers can be confident that the new car will be premium, luxurious and just as special as the other Range Rover models."

"Its sporting looks and unique qualities will open the brand to a new group of customers who may not have considered a Range Rover product before."

Range Rover Evoque will make its official public debut in September at the Paris Motor Show. Be sure to stay in touch for more information on all new Land Rover models at Fred Lavery Company - 34602 Woodward Avenue, Birmingham, MI 48009.
