Audi RS6 Coming Soon

Many speculated about the introduction of Audi's RS4 in the United States, and globally for that matter. Well, it looks like the next-gen RS won't be a 4, but an upgraded RS6.

This news is coming out from the folks at Car & Driver, who know a thing or two about automotive news. They claim that "Audi will not be making a new RS4."

According to their reports, "Audi believes that the RS5 coupe has that part of the market covered and that it doesn't need a super sport sedan for the segment."

To replace that segment class, Audi will put their RS-production efforts towards the next RS6 model, which is likely to come with the auto maker's twin-turbo V8. Some reports state that the RS6 will come with a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8, tuned up to about 592 cubic horsepower, which is the same as the company's rumored Audi RS7.

Some are wondering if Audi is really not going ahead with a sport sedan like the RS4, especially one which has "the longest history of wearing the RS-badge from the current lineup." Only time will tell.

New models from Audi will include upgraded suspension, and most with the aforementioned V6 or V8 turbocharged engines.

You can get to know all of Audi's new line up in person at Fred Lavery Company.
