Range Rover Evoque Goes Global

The upcoming Range Rover Evoque continues popping up all over the globe. After it's initial debut in London, the car was spotted at a huge sponsored event in New York City's Times Square.

Many believe Land Rover's 2012 Range Rover Evoque will become their best selling auto. It's a very distinct possibility.

The Windsor Star took a closer look at this powerful crossover, saying this vehicle "appears more like a sport wagon derivative of a compact passenger car, especially in two door livery."1

Windsor Star continues, "when ogling the attractive two-and four-door body styles, it's difficult to believe that the Evoque is the real deal when tackling the kind of off-road terrain that made its iconic ancestors so desirable. With its short front and rear overhang and ample ground clearance, the odds of becoming hung up on uneven terrain or stuck in some muddy bog would seem remote."2

Fuel-economy is crucial in today's auto market. It's even more important for Land Rover / Range Rover to prove they can be fuel efficient. Evoque's actual mileage has yet to be released, but the 240-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder should go easy on its fuel tank, and your wallet. A six-speed automatic transmission will also help.

Don't worry, you'll still get power out of Evoque. Land Rover claims a 0-62 mph jump in 7.6 seconds. How does a vehicle larger than a sedan get such great numbers? Land Rovers use of plastic front fenders/rear liftgate, aluminum hood and roof panels probably help.

The hybrid crossover from well known luxury auto maker Land Rover is going on sale world wide this year. You can get all the information you need by stopping into Fred Lavery Company in Birmingham, MI.
