Porsche continues to grow its ever increasing Eastern market with its new store in Ahmedabad, India, making it the sixth. Construction begain in Ahmedabad in February 2011, and the property offers a forty-two-hundred square foot showroom, and besides the structure, there are five knowledgeable Porsche representatives available to help. Topping the popularity charts is the Porsche Cayenne, and it will be available for purchase, as will the entire new Porsche product range.  Once you've bought your Porsche, there is also help in taking care of it; the site offers a thirty-thousand square foot car service area.

So can this growth in the Eastern region be quantified? Porsche experts proclaim that growth could exceed 200 percent. Porsche did around 134 delivers in India last year and expects to do sales around 300 by December of this year. Ashish Chordia, Chief Executive of Precision Cars India Private Limited also offered some insight on the issue of Porsche's growth in these new markets: "Ahmedabad and Surat are very strong markets in Gujarat," he says "In fact, the whole of Gujarat offers a good opportunity for the luxury segment in automobiles. Plus, in India, the average life span of a luxury car for an Indian customer is just two years. While we have received 20 orders so far in Ahmedabad, by December 2012 we expect to do sales in triple digits from Gujarat."²
