Porsche 911 GT3 RS Revealed

We've been patiently awaiting official specs for the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 - and now following the New York International Auto Show, we got em.

Porsche Panamera Diesel

Porsche CEO Matthias M?ller confirmed this week that the car company will launch a diesel-powered Panamera in the second half of 2011. Speaking with Germany's Westfalen-Blatt, M?ller stated the success of Porsche Cayenne diesel as one of the "key reasons for launching the new Panamera variant."

Porsche is ready to introducing the new Cayman R model at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The car is based off the original Cayman model, a hot roadster just ready to prowl the streets. Cayman R is a special edition, which features performance improvements over the Cayman S lineup.

It is 121 lbs lighter, sits 20 mm lower than the Cayman S, and comes with 10 cubic horsepower more than the Cayman S roadster.

2011 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid

This month Porsche begins selling its 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid sport-utility vehicle through its 197 authorized U.S. dealers, giving fuel-efficiency minded consumers who also enjoy performance and handling a clear choice in the hybrid arena.

The Cayenne S Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds on its way to a top test track speed of 150 mph, yet it delivers an impressive estimated 21 mpg city/25 highway under current EPA regulations. Its base MSRP is $67,700 (excluding destination), and like all Cayenne models, it is not subject to a gas-guzzler tax.

Porsche Cajun 2-Door SUV

Porsche's design director wants to have "more influence on Porsche styling" and will start this off by creating a 2-door, smaller SUV for the German auto maker called Cajun.

In an interview at the 2010 Paris Motor Show with auto industry publication Automotive News, design chief Walter de' Silva said, "I really hope to be able to add something positive to Porsche's new models, which will remain coherent with the great tradition of Porsche...The Cajun will be the first new Porsche created under my influence."
